Tottenham Hotspur interested in Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna in the January transfer window, according to . The report has claimed that the former Bayern Munich striker has a release clause of €40 million in his contract.

Premier League club Tottenham are looking for a new striker in the middle of the season because they have not found a like-for-like replacement for Harry Kane. Kane joined Bayern Munich from Spurs in the summer of 2023. The 30-year-old England international striker has scored 22 goals and given five assists in 18 Bundesliga matches this season.

Zirkzee has made 18 starts and one substitute appearance in Serie A for Bologna this season. He has scored seven goals and given two assists in those games. Bologna are seventh in the Serie A table at the moment with 32 points from 20 matches, two points behind fourth-placed Fiorentina. Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table with 40 points from 21 matches, three points behind Aston Villa in fourth.
